The green screw on the 2 way switch is for the ground so all ground wires should be connected as seen below. As i am in a flat we dont have ceiling access and lights are wired.
The black wires running to the two separate light fixtures are each connected to one of the switches.
2 gang switch connection. If your light switch has one switch button on it then its a single or 1 gang switch. The electrical boxes are made of either pvc or steel. So what have we accomplished.
However if you need two switches to control a single lighting circuit such as in the case of at the head and foot of stairs so you can switch the lights on and off in both places you need to understand a 2 way switch. Two gang electrical boxes are electrical boxes that allow you to fit two outlets or two light switches in them. Two way switch can be operated from any of the switch independently means whatever be the position of other switchonoff you can control the light with other switch.
Wiring two switches in one box in this arrangement 2 switches are installed in one box. If it has two switch buttons on it then its a double or 2 gang switch. Hi in my kitchen i am going to install a 2 gang 1 way switch to control main light and under wall units lights seperatly.
The switches are connected with pigtail wires to the same source. The steel boxes have the advantage of being self grounding and do not require a grounding wire. This makes for a safe protected circuit by having all grounds intact.
A 1 gang switch will control a single lighting circuit and with a 2 gang switch you can control two lighting circuits and so on. All ground wires bare copper are all now connected incoming ground load ground and switch ground. A 2 way switching connection means you can control an electrical equipment like bulb by two switches placed at different places generally used in the staircase.
